Called to the Québec Bar in 2015, Max Silverman holds an Honour's BA with Great Distinction from McGill University, a Certificate in Written French from the University of Québec in Montréal (UQAM), and a Bachelor's of Civil Law also from UQAM, where he received an academic award of excellence and worked as a research assistant for two professors.

In addition to his law practise, Mtre Silverman is also a part-time faculty member at Concordia University where he teaches a number of law-related classes to political science students. He is a founding volunteer of Montréal Trans* Legal Clinic and has served on the board of directors of many community organizations throughout the city. Max is a volunteer lawyer with the Mile End Legal Clinic, a resource lawyer and volunteer for the John Howard Society of Quebec, and a member of the National Victims of Crime Bar Association (U.S.A.)

An anglophone originally from Toronto, Max has spent the past 12 years in Montréal and has done all of his legal training and most of his legal practise in the French language, operating a bilingual practise and well at ease in both languages. Max is proud to collaborate with many lawyers across the city.
